BUTTERFLY GATES
The Butterfly Gate is
usually a 'concertina' style of gate that opens to the width of the
herringbone row at the end of the pit. It only allows one-way
traffic and is operated manually from anywhere along the pit.

The Butterfly Gates
manufactured by Dairy Tech are designed to fold like a 'concertina' so that
the herringbone exit row is unimpeded and almost at full width when the
gates are open.
The Butterfly Gates
allow one-way
traffic control and are operated manually from anywhere along the
dairy pit.
These gates offer positive
stock control because the gates are hinged on both sides,
not just one side of the exit.
The concertina-like fold away means very little space is required
for the gates when open. And when fully
open the walk-through is 2.05 metres high and 1.90 metres
wide.
Dairy Tech's
Butterfly Gates are mounted on an exit frame (hoop) or sold as a set
to be mounted in existing sheds.
