YARD COMPONENTS

The components listed below are supplied by Dairy Tech as individual units for clients wanting to replace dairy and yard components or to include in new installations.

Yard Centre Post, Rotary Water Gland & Rotary Electric Gland with Precast Grated Sump

Dairy Tech offer a complete yard centre assembly for new circular yards or as individual components to add to existing yard setups. 

The rotary water gland allows for water in the centre of the yard to supply Top Dog overhead gates system and drives the backing gates and water jets on the backing gate scraper. 

The rotary electric gland provides power for the water drives and Top Dog.

The precast concrete grated sump provides drainage efficiency at the centre of the yard.

 Water Diverter

The precast concrete water diverter is operated manually or by air ram and diverts water draining from the yard to be directed to an effluent system and rain water falling on the yard to be diverted to alternative collection points.

Cow Service Centre, Knecker Knacker Head Crush & Leg Mount with Winch

A framework complete with head crush, split gates and short gate behind allows for ease of tending to individual cows in the dairy's Vet Race.

Loading Race

The framework and railing are assembled for ease of installation on site.

Teat Spray 

Automatic teat spray units can be installed in conjunction with the Top Dog overhead gates system to spray udders as cows exit the shed. Each cow has no option but to push past a spray arm that triggers the teat sprayer.
